I just finished reading a great blog post about a couple who were in a long distance relationship for many years. He has moved to Singapore from the US to be with her, as he has gotten his degree. Its a beautiful story, though her writing style is a bit out there ( I suppose it is a part of her trademark LOL).

I needed to read something like that. Though there is no true commitment between BC and I, there have been so many days when I wondered if it was worth it. I wonder if he could do better than me, if he is anywhere near as emotionally into there being an US someday as I am, and so on and so forth. Hopefully, the answers to all my wonders is in my favor. If not, I think I might loose my mind for a short while, but it will have been well worth it. He does show he cares, and I know it is because he cares for ME as a person and for who I really am. Big change from my past, that’s for sure!

For those who say LDRs can’t work or can’t be as real as CDRs…I say that they are even more real and work about as often as CDRs do. The LDR has to hold it together without the physical niceties. You can’t just hug your honey to let them know you care…you have to find more creative ways to show you care. You can’t lean on them when you’re going through hell…you have to grow and learn to be strong. But you do get to know each other better as you actually HAVE to communicate!! Which I suck at it seems, but I am working on getting better at it LOL.
