Small Pick Me Ups

Reading time: 2 – 2 minutes

It’s amazing how the smallest things can be a big emotional pick me up. Today has been a decent day, but nothing to write home about. BC didn’t hit the instant messenger  until right as I was getting ready for class, so I figured we’d not get to talk tonight. Then while I was working on my assignments (which I can do on my laptop in this one class), a hug and a kiss popped up on screen. I figured he was ready for bed, and just wanted to say goodnight.

Turns out that he’s had a pretty rough day at work. It could be that he is going to get a lot of flack for the actions he is going to take, but what he is doing is the right thing. I really hope that the stuff doesn’t hit the fan until after he’s left for the base he is actually supposed to be working on.

Him IMing me really made my day. I hate going even a single day without talking with him, even if all we do is trade “how was your day?”s. I also have a new appreciation for what all he is putting up with. I can’t believe he’s held his sarcasm enough to not get fired LOL. Not too sure I could do it myself! Either way, I will enjoy the rest of my evening much more knowing he had a chance to vent all this and that I..yah ME.. he talked to me about it all. It IS amazing how the little things in life can make such a tremendous difference.

How about you? What little thing made your day better? Share your examples of the small pick me ups that get us all through each day!

Blessed Be
