Hello!
Though I am not quite ready to get back to the posting grind again, I wanted to ask for your help in making a decision. I had an awesome consult with the wonderful Catherine Caine, and it solidified my wish to make this a more focused blog. Or, most likely, take certain topics to other blog(s) and possibly turn this into my personal blog.
So, what will that mean? It means I will be posting certain topics on different blogs on different domains in the near future. Don’t worry…I will post here with the new URLs plus send an email to those of you on the list with instructions on how to get just the updates you want to get. This will probably mean I will get new Twitter accounts, and use the current one as a place for posting all topics plus my usual banter and shares.
I want to know your thoughts on how I should split stuff up. I value your opinions, since you guys are smart enough to have found this site
Vote in the poll below to express your opinion on how I should split this up. You can also comment if you have ideas for domain names for either of the splits or just to add your full opinion on this change.

Hey this is my first visit, saw your comment on websitebegin thought I’d pop by. I definitely recommend separating out content. i’ve recently set up a new twitter account to separate the business/blog and personal stuff. it’s a great way to keep the business and blogging to task and really focused on the relevant content.

Hi Pedro,
I am glad you came by. I will definitely be making a split! Hard to make money when you can’t rank in searches etc…and ranking requires some narrowing down for me. I will also make a separate twitter for the new blog(s) so my people will only get the updates they want.
Thanks for stopping by and adding your thoughts! I hope to see you back again soon and that you have a fantastic rest of the weekend

I am thinking you should put the blogging scratch that, business, stuff on another site as well, but I would try to get something similar in name to GA. You are and have built quite a reputation in a short time on here. This site as a personal blog would be hell to maintain with the other two. I would leave personal stuff and relationship on the current GA and see if you can get like gurlsasylumblog.com for business stuff.
just my two cents

Hey Justin.
Thanks for giving me even more food for thought. Between you and El, I will be thinking for days
Interesting thoughts on the domain name there. It just might work and help make the company name I use make sense on both/all three blogs depending on which way I go. It will be a slow transition even if I split into three blogs. Will take sometime to get new blogs set up to my liking and some fresh new content ready to roll

Hey Jenn
I voted for moving blogging off here but wanted to add an explanation. Personally, I think having a blogging blog, a relationship blog and this place might just be a little too much to maintain. I think the relationship blog would be awesome for you especially given all the warm fuzzy stuff that came up in that character strengths test thing you did the other day.
But it really depends on what you love writing about. What’s your dream blog post? Which sort of posts excite you the most when you hit publish? Which fall easiest off your fingers?

Hey El,
I keep coming back to this and wanting to answer your questions but I still don’t have answers that satisfy me. I am still thinking hard on this and it will probably inspire a post or few. I am sure someone else out there needs to get their answers to these questions to help them move forward in their blogging as well. Thanks so much for giving me food for thought. Its much needed

Hi Jenn,
That picture looks painful
I think that keeping your blog specific to your chosen niche is a good idea. Truth be told, this is something that I am currently working on. Having said that, I tend to do guest posting when I have something written that does not fit my site.
I will go vote now. Have a great day

Haha! I thought it looked cool…never thought about it from a dude’s perspective though! I also use guest posting for ideas that are totally out of my niche. Did you see the one I did on Karen’s site? Its linked in my guest posts section, or I can DM you the link if you didn’t. Thanks so much for adding your thoughts. Hope you are having a wonderful week.
