Plans for the next 6 to 12 months

  1. Write 2 to 3 e-books. One for giving away, the rest to sell
  2. Increase page rank from 0 to at least 2, preferably 4
  3. Begin using article marketing to help bring in more readers. Post 2 to 4 short articles per month at first.
  4. Continue with regular posting schedule. Modify if/when desired.
  5. Get several small report type publications done. Some for free, others to sell.
  6. Start taking advantage of learning opportunities presented on reputable blogs when financially viable.
  7. Start writing and promoting guest posts to other blogs
  8. Get some guest posts for The Asylum.
  9. Continue building and add to the connections within Blogistan.
  10. Watch for smaller blogs to do joint ventures with…or similar…or bigger. (Brainstorm some ideas for JVs)

What is the website for?

It started out as a personal outlet for me to work out things going on in my life. Right now, it is evolving into a place for me to share tips and thoughts on relationships and blogging as well as share recipes and other things I come across.

What am I doing to get people to go to it?

  1. Posting valuable comments to reputable blogs
  2. Promoting posts via Twitter and Facebook
  3. Working on page rank and SEO to raise the number of search hits I get
  4. Adding the site to blog directories
  5. Soon to come: Article Marketing

What am I doing to get people to stay on it for as long as possible?

This is where I think I need some help, actually. I do add links to related posts at the end of each post, use internal links when applicable and have lists of recent and favorite posts in the side bars.

What am I doing to collect names?

I will start using Awebber once I have the dinero to swing the monthly fees. I will be using a free e-book to get people to share their information with me.

What am I doing to measure what happens on my website?

I have way too many analytic programs running for my blog. Need to narrow it down. I will keep Google Analytics, and maybe the W3 one.

Is the copy in English or is it pretentious jargon?

Its pretty much standard English. According to some evaluate your site websites, the reading level requirement is Teenager, so at least I have the KISS principle working well for me.
