Hi and welcome to Gurl’s Asylum! I am so glad you dropped by! I look forward to getting to know more about you over time. I also bet you want some more information about this site and about me!

The Asylum was originally a WordPress.com blog that I migrated to a self hosted Word Press blog. At first, I was blogging purely for fun and to keep a journal of some of the things going on in my life. Now that I’ve gotten a bit more ambitious, I am moving towards more frequent and structured posting. I am also looking at E-books to offer the readers…There is a free E-book here that will give you some ideas for composing love letters, as well as some other free downloads.

What might you read about here? Blogging, How To’s, Relationships and Recipes are going to be the types of posts that you see every week. I also have one day where I will post whatever suits my fancy. Could be one of the above topics, movies, books, music, current events…just whatever is interesting me or moving me at the time I write the post.

As for me, I am a full time student, a sister, an aunt and a daughter. I will have four associates degrees by May of 2011: Medical Assisting, Administrative Office Professional, Business Management and Computer Applications Specialist. I also enjoy the reading, listening to music, watching movies and select TV shows, and editing or creating pictures.
